- Your individual answers are confidential.
- SolrBoost operates the survey and is the only party that processes individual responses.
- The benchmark partners — the University of Cape Town, TruePoint South Africa and Partnerships for Growth (P4G) — receive aggregated, anonymised results only.
- Raw responses are deleted 12 months after the report is issued.
- POPIA applies. To have your response removed, email paul@solrboost.co.za.
What is collected
Your answers to the survey questions, including the ranges you choose for your number of sites, installed capacity and monthly budget, and where you lose production.
Your contact details, so that your report can be sent to you.
Who sees what
The SOM Institute maturity model was developed by SolrBoost. The SOM Institute benchmark — this survey, the South African cohort it builds and the industry insights it produces — is run in partnership with the University of Cape Town, TruePoint South Africa and Partnerships for Growth (P4G).

How long it is kept
Raw responses are deleted 12 months after the report is issued.
The law that applies
South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) applies to the personal information collected through the survey.
